I know I am not the norm, because I work with deaf children, but pictures, the more the better, are always helpful for me. I'd like to see them in both PMS's and extended reading.
I do not feel the use of pictures is that important to me. Now, if the pictures were a bit more "readable".. to tell the story (let's say at least 6 for some of the PMS's that have a bit more detail to them), I would say that it would enhance comprehension on the student part. Illustrating the Extended Reading would be a nice addition.

It would be helpful to those of us who work in Special Education to have pictures in both I think.
